POK-O-MacCREADY combines over a hundred years of camp tradition with a mission to cultivate life-long friendships, independence, growth through challenge, and appreciation for the natural world. A screen-free, nature-filled setting and small cabin groups promote social growth and conflict resolution.

Family-owned since 1905, Pok-O-MacCready is known for outdoor adventure, close friendships, and life-long memories. Among the 40+ activities offered are: hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, rock climbing, kayaking, blacksmithing, mountain biking, sailing, sports, swimming, and creative arts. It's location in the Adirondack Park gives it access to hundreds of miles of trails and rivers for both day and overnight trips. Facilities available to every camper include an early 19th Century working farm, an indoor rock climbing center, tennis and basketball courts, a street hockey complex, modern horse stables, ball fields, swimming and boating docks, and rustic cabins tucked into the fields and forest.

Camp life entails more than participating in a wide variety of activities, games, and events. It is a time of learning and of establishing an understanding of the outdoors and oneself. Each summer, our camp is infused with what we call "Pok-O Spirit." You'll hear it in the laughter, the jokes, the stories, and the songs. You'll see it in the smiles, the hugs, and the sense of purpose from everyone. "Pok-O Spirit" is a mix of love, friendship, enthusiasm, pride, trust, and tradition. Campers and staff alike share it. Although it is tough to describe exactly what "Pok-O Spirit" is, it can safely be said that it's the reason why Pok-O-MacCready is so unique and successful.
