Camp Chateaugay is a warm and nurturing traditional sleep away camp where campers from ages 7 to 17 come to have fun, make lasting friendships and learn new skills in areas that they enjoy. We create a physically and emotionally safe environment in which children thrive.

We offer instruction that ranges from beginner to advanced in over 60 different activities including water sports, land sports, arts & crafts, horseback riding, glassblowing, gymnastics, tennis, and outdoor adventure.

We provide a well-organized, tech-free summer camp experience focused on building strong girls, so you can empower your daughter with the skills and confidence she needs to succeed! Camp Jeanne d’Arc (CJDA) is an all-girls sleep away camp on pristine Lake Chateaugay in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. Girls ages 7-16 are invited to join the CJDA family and make Camp Jeanne d’ Arc her summer home.

Our program is designed to provide a friendly, inclusive, non-competitive environment for trying new things. At camp our mornings are more structured, and our afternoons more flexible. That means campers get to choose their activities every afternoon! Our activities include but are not limited to the following: horseback riding, water skiing, canoeing, swim, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, archery, riflery, BBs, tent camping, wilderness exploration, hiking, field trips, dancing, guitar, arts-and-crafts, drama, field sports, and tennis. By sun down, every camper has enjoyed a full day of activities!

In addition to our traditional programming, campers participate in flag raising, daily inspirational, campfire, decades-old traditions, and service projects.

Your daughter will do more than have fun; she will find their voice, discover her passion, uncover her talents, and realize her value. She will return home with greater confidence!

The American Diabetes Association-Indiana Area is proud to host our 57th year of Camp John Warvel. Children (ages 7-15 or Counselors-in-Training ages 16-17) with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes are welcome to attend this week-long residential camp, which includes 24 hour medical supervision and all of the fun times of traditional camp, including kayaking, swimming, rope courses, crafts, drama and much more!
