Camp Echo is a residential YMCA camp on Ryerson Long Lake located near Fremont, Michigan. The site includes 500 acres of scenic land, lodging for more than 250 campers, an extensive network of hiking and horseback trails with onsite campgrounds, a traversing wall, a ropes challenge course, climbing wall, archery range, ga-ga pits, basketball court, tennis court, softball field, and a lake for fishing, sailing, boating, swimming, and canoeing.

Each summer, more than 1,500 campers of all ages and identities arrive to Camp Echo from communities throughout the U.S. and beyond. Founded in 1924, Camp Echo is licensed by the state of Michigan and is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA).

Located on Kimball Lake in Newaygo, Camp Henry sits on over 200 acres of forests, fields and wetlands. Providing the perfect environment for summer fun! We offer week-long camps that include specialty programs such as Wakeboarding & Waterskiing, Soccer, Music, and Horse Camps: offsite adventures to North Manitou Island, Ohiopyle WhiteWater Rafting, and U.P. North Adventure: Service and Leadership opportunities for teenagers: plus Day and Mini-Camps for younger campers.

The majority of our campers come for “Regular” camp, our traditional overnight summer camping program where campers have the chance to experience all of the Camp Henry favorites like boating, archery, arts & crafts, and riding on our Big Banana as well as the opportunity to select their favorites from over a dozen land and water activities. We serve campers from ages 5 – 17, with many deciding to enroll in more than one session each summer.

Camp Henry has had the privilege of serving campers, families, and guests since 1937. We believe that a camping experience at Camp Henry has the capacity to transform lives in many ways. With such a concentrated amount of time, a beautiful natural environment, intentional camp programs and activities, opportunities to try something new, and campers being surrounded by positive Christian role models - the combination is perfect for enhancing and positively changing the lives of campers and guests who come to Camp Henry.

Camp Henry welcomes campers of all faiths as well as no faith at all. We don’t require, assume, or expect that all campers are Christians or come from Christian families. Our hope is to simply be Christian toward everyone who comes to camp. Imagine the perfect day – you wake up for an early morning swim in the warm waters of Lake Pickerel with your friends and counselors. After breakfast you enjoy your daily classes: fencing on acorn courts, windsurfing across smooth water, and developing photos in the dark room. After dinner you and your cabin run through the woods battling against the other team to capture the flag. At night you sit with your new friends under the stars while your counselor teaches you special camp songs. As you fall asleep your head is full of laughter and your heart is filled with friendship. Our 101 acre camp rests along Pickerel Lake which is snuggled in the Manistee National Forest region, near the town of Newaygo, Michigan. If you like spending time in the outdoors, enjoying the sun, having fun on the water, and making lifelong friendships, Camp Newaygo is the place for you. Camp Newaygo is a classic all-girls residential camp for campers ages 7-17. At Camp Newaygo, you can do it all without holding back.
